Reception Site

November 1st, 2004

So we are planning a wedding now. It*s fun and scary all at the same time. The biggest problem right now is to find a place for the reception. We are determined not to do it in a hotel conference room. Bad food, bad environment. Not realy what we want for a party.

So last night we found Arcadian. Its a remodeled theater that is close to the church. I have to call today to find out what their prices and availability are like but I have high hopes.

Good Sports weekend for KC

November 1st, 2004

dawnuh and I went to the KC Wizards MLS playoff game on Saturday night. KC scored the third and deciding goal 2 minutes into stoppage time in the second half. Good stuff. MLS is gracious enough to post lots of video on their website. You can watch the whole game or jsut the 5 minute highlight reel. Look for San Jose vs KC Oct 30th.

The next day at the same stadium, the Chiefs went out and continued to prove that their bad start to the season was a fluke. For the second week in a row the offense looks like an unstoppable beast. Passing, running, anything they try seems to be working. Which is good because the Colts were in town and they tend to score a few points as well. The good news for Chiefs fans is that Hunter Smith, the Colts punter, actually had to come on a few times. It was a shootout, but the Chiefs won 45-35.
