The best news I’ve heard about sports broadcasting in a long time. The ESPN Sunday Night NFL team has rightly been regarded with some contempt and a lot of that has been directed at McGuire (watch this right here. you wanna see a guy getting ripped. BAM!! right there!). Replacing McGuire with Kornheiser, one of the smartest people in any media, can only help. Imagine Dennis Miller but with a vastly improved knowledge of the game and a sharper sense of humor.
Tirico, Theismann, Kornheiser to call ESPN’s MNF games – Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser will be part of a three-man booth calling the games on Monday nights next season and Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya will be sideline reporters.
